Scott and Larry may have thrown the biggest most detailed and stunning wedding that Nebraska has ever seen. Not to mention the most love filled, ceremony and day that I have ever been able to capture. Their wedding, although filled with family and friends, was the most intimate and sincere day. They started by getting ready TOGETHER, I know huge no no in the wedding industry, but I LOVED IT, I think more couples should help each other get ready, it went so far beyond the emotions that a first look has, it was personal, and loving, and truly a beautiful way to begin a day that will start the rest of your lives together.
The ceremony, from the gorgeous chandelier with draping fabric, to the daringly romantic cathedral grand entrance, was nothing more than stunning. They even had their girls join them for a family abstract painting, capturing the moment that they all became one, not just the union of two amazing men, but a family coming to its whole.
One of my favorite parts about their wedding was their desire to spend time together, we choose to build in an intimate couples photoshoot following the ceremony. We were able to drive up to the top of the Scotts Bluff National Monument and spend time capturing true, unfiltered, free love. This was such a beautiful time for the two of them to simple take in the fact that they just got married! With moments of tears and joyful laughter, their couples photos are some of my favorite. There is something to be said about having a big party… but knowing when to take time away from the grandness of a wedding, and remembering that in the end it is not about a day. It is about finding the person that fills your soul, and these two cherished every moment of their wedding day and made what could have been a standard large wedding, into such a beautiful and intimate love story.

It was a beautiful day with so many wonderful memories! We are still trying to go through thousands of amazing pictures to narrow it down to a few for a wedding album. Maybe that will be our first anniversary gift to each other! :)
