A Moody Rock and Roll Styled Wedding Session

Photographed by Stori H Photography

From Stori:
The idea behind creating this shoot was simple. We wanted to connect a few creative vendors (some new to the scene, and some are veterans) and create a moody scene perfect for all of our alternative and off-beat clients.

Our models Carmen and Elise are new to Colorado and moved here with their tiny house to start a new adventure in the mountains. They’re gorgeous models but are also a very beautiful couple. Their spark was present throughout the whole venue during the shoot.

We wanted a moody look with blacks, golds, and emeralds to help push the rock and roll vibe we were going for. We couldn’t shoot with the Harley like we were planning because of the mini blizzard the day of the shoot. But our awesome models rocked the storm and made snow look warm and inviting.

I was so excited to include balloons from the incredibly talented BalloonPopStudio. Aisha elevated the arch to a whole new level with gold leaf flakes on the black balloons.

Painted Primrose provided the floral and blew us away by adding a beige palette. This was something I didn’t even think of because you’re always told growing up that brown tones and blacks don’t go together. Well she proved that very wrong and was just what we needed to balance the look out.

Kim J Beauty created such flawless makeup with just a touch of edge and delicate yet edgy details in her styling.

I also have to point out the literal edginess of our untraditionally shaped cake that was gorgeously crafted. I know black food coloring is crazy hard to work with and The Little Peach did it so much justice.

Mountain Sips Mobile bar blew us away with dry ice, edible flowers, and delicious purple sips. Chirps and Cricket found a way to balance delicate floral designs and bold colors with her stationary and paper goods. We couldn’t have a Rock and Roll shoot without a neon sign, thank you Lighting and Design by Scott. All Well Rents provided us with gorgeous rentals. I still can’t get over those chargers and glassware. This whole vision could not have come together without the amazing planning and vision of A Bride’s Best Mate and backdrop at Bonnie Blues Event Venue.

I literally can’t say enough about all of the vendors who made this shoot happen. It was a dream and exactly what I’ve been missing. If a couple is out there looking for a creative to make their moody, offbeat wedding dreams come true- this is a dream team.
