Who we are and why we care...
LGBTQ I Do is a resource of Colorado - based, insured, wedding vendors in Colorado that happily service the LGBTQ+ community and believe that all couples deserve to be seen, accepted, and celebrated on their wedding day.
Hi, I'm Jennie
Mom, wife, mother, wedding photographer, and owner of LGBTQ I Do
I met my wife when I was 21, when I was a senior in college. We hit it off right away and I knew we had something special. But that didn’t mean our relationship would be easy. We chose to navigate the world together and that meant facing years of challenges as we came out to our family and friends. The struggles early on led us to do a lot of digging into ourselves as we defined who we wanted to be as people and what kind of life we wanted to create for ourselves.
When it came time to plan our own wedding, we were purposefully very intentional about the people we invited and the vendors we chose to work with. We built a guest list with the people who were there for us, who answered the phone when we needed it, and who showed up to celebrate US and the beautiful life we had created together. Our photographs show love in the small moments between us and our friends and family.
In 2020 I jumped at the chance to take over LGBTQ I Do. When my wife and I got married, there was no central place for us to find supportive wedding vendors. We had to ask the question "have you ever worked with a same-sex couple" in every introductory communication.
I want LGBTQ I Do to be the resource I didn't have. A place for couples to begin their wedding search, confident that they'll find acceptance and love on the other end of their email.
